In today’s threat landscape, malware and ransomware have become very effective malicious tools used by cyber criminals to infiltrate, disrupt, and in many cases completely devastate business operations for organizations of all sizes. For years, Antivirus clients have been relied on to protect workstations and servers from viruses and malware. Unfortunately, we continue to see the effectiveness of traditional Antivirus decline, particularly as malware code has become more and more sophisticated.

Over the past few years, new solutions have become available in the form of Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR). While traditional Antivirus relied on definitions / signatures of known viruses, EDR uses advanced algorithms, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to detect anomalies which may indicate malicious activity. From there, a complete snapshot of any possible malicious activity is taken, and alerts are generated allowing Link High’s engineers to quickly determine whether or not the activity is malicious and the extent of impact. At that point, the EDR software can also isolate the system in question to prevent the spread of malware / ransomware.

With that said, Link High would like to announce the addition of Endpoint Detection & Response to our Managed Services offering. We feel so strongly that EDR is necessary as another important layer of security that it will be added to all managed services agreement renewals starting in November 2019. For those clients who would like to add EDR before their next renewal, we will offer discounted pricing for early adopters with no setup fees.
